Watching this back and it still gives me chills. The complete absence of sound Pilot describes is also disturbing. No owls hooting, no crickets. It happens in the woods and forests when predators are near, all animals become quiet. Also it makes me sad. Pilot encountered an entire station worth of people who never came back from World War 1. By what the young man said about the “war being over by Christmas “ hints that the young man is from 1914 . As most people did expect the war to end by then and there was the Christmas truce. What Pilot says the station was closed because the staff were all killed also implied that any member of their families most likely moved away after the war . Also when Pilot passes the station a second time there’s a man behind the station building. Is that Mr. Dexby or the ghost of the young man?
